Overwhelmed by excessive workload, lack of support and institutional challenges, nurses face distress and disillusionment. Racism, favouritism, inadequate pay and a lack of unity plague the system. Comprehensive reform is needed for the NHS to fulfil its promise of compassionate care and patient satisfaction.
