Day 06: “Why do you write?”

Writing is a form of art. It tickles your brain cells and prompts you to use words to paint a picture.

Happy New Year everyone!
I literally CANNOT believe we are in the year 2023! How fast time flies right?

Although I am 11 days late into starting my first #Bloganuary post and 5 days overdue posting Day 6 topic, I thought to start with this first. Why? Because it is meaningful.

The answer to the question is quite simple.

I write:

To create room for my brain to breathe.
For my mind to accommodate more thoughts.
I write to express the thoughts that burden my soul.
I write to inspire.
To touch the hearts of many.
To be the voice for the voiceless.
I write to imagine what a fantasy thought would look like in reality.
I write to live.
I write to tell a story – not just mine but the story of others.
I write to feel.
I write to practice true authentic expression in the safest and most precious way.
I write to heal.

I believe that writing is not just about words. It is just just about fun. It is not just about talent and skills. It is about imagination. It is about dreams. It is also about showing empathy, tugging at the delicate heart strings of many and birthing a new perspective and deep questions for desperate answers.

My journey to writing started at a very tender age. Little did I know that I would start taking it seriously and use it for the greater good.

I write with the hope that a miracle will happen. That a change will occur.
