Some of you guys asked if I would be sharing more poetry/spoken word poetry and the answer is YES!
I am back with yet another poem and this time, it is a little different.
This poem doesn’t necessarily relate to me but this is a poem about the people who feel voiceless, hidden and marginalised in today’s society. You may even feel like this in your own family! Some of you may understand and relate to it in your own way. I know some things written in this piece touched me.
I hope you enjoy it!
Happy reading!

Some of you may have felt invisible. Some of you may have felt suppressed and oppressed… maybe as women… maybe as men… maybe as a child. Some of you may have been told that you are a disgrace, an embarrassment or a mistake. You want to rebel, fight and defend yourself but it backfires and you are back to square one. You want to be seen, you want to be heard, but they silence you and tell you in various ways, that you are not a priority. Have you ever asked yourself that maybe you weren’t THEIR priority??
What did you understand from this poem? Can you relate? Feel free to comment your thoughts and feelings!
